Denmark - E47, Lyngby

A flexible and future-proof DB NBF installation on the E47 near Lyngby. The widening of the Helsingør Motorway (E47) near Lyngby required a vehicle restraint system with an integrated noise barrier that would blend seamlessly into the existing motorway environment. Due to the compacted gravel subgrade and the limited space in the central reservation, the driven DB 80F NBF variant was selected. This combined noise barrier and restraint system is so space-saving that it can be positioned closer to the traffic. In total, more than 600 m of DB 80F NBF systems, 4 m in height, were installed, along with an additional 856 m of BHB noise barriers, 6 m in height, in the central reservation and along the edge of the carriageway.
