The PHONOBLOC® BHB series are concrete core panels that are established for many years on the European noise protection market because of their positive product characteristics. The many design and configuration options along with the resistance and strength of these panels are their key success factors. Due to their heavy weight, the panels are produced as close to the installation site as possible in order to save costs and reduce the impact on the environment. Optimum sound absorption and reflection coefficients are achieved by adding HB absorbers as cladding on one or both sides of the panel. The solid concrete core makes up the supporting material and absorbs airborne sound. The PHONOBLOC® BHB series – certified for 50 years lifetime in accordance with EN 14389-1/2.

HB Absorber - The CO₂Superpower

PHONOBLOC® wood-concrete absorbers, as used in modern noise barrier walls, are true climate protectors: thanks to the natural carbonation process, they actively bind CO₂ from the air. The porous structure of the wood-concrete promotes the absorption of carbon dioxide, which gets permanently bound within the material. A natural process that is not only effective, but also sustainable. In addition, the wood content in the wood-concrete stores CO₂ during the tree’s growth — allowing PHONOBLOC® HB Absorbers to combine two powerful climate benefits:
