Hungary - M1, Tatabánya

The Hungarian M1 Motorway — a key route connecting Budapest with the Austrian border toward Vienna — runs over 171 km and is currently undergoing one of Hungary’s most significant infrastructure upgrades. The modernisation project includes widening the motorway to three lanes in each direction, enhancing both capacity and safety for all road users. We’re proud that DELTABLOC® concrete safety barriers have been selected for this important project. On the section passing the city of Tatabánya, our DB 120S barriers have been installed in surface-mounted, pinned, anchored and pile-driven versions over 40km on the central reserve — all meeting H4b performance class.
