France - Route Centre-Europe Atlantique

The French “Route Centre-Europe Atlantique” (RCEA) / Central Europe Atlantic Road runs through central France from East to West and connects Southern Germany, Switzerland and Italy with the French Atlantic region. The RCEA is mainly a highway but some sections of the route are a standard National Road, also called the Route Nationale RN79, which is now being upgraded on the total length of 62km with 2 x 2 lanes, to meet highway standards. The whole construction project started beginning 2020 and will last until end 2021. For this project DELTABLOC® France is delivering DB 80 elements (50km) for the central reserve and DB 65S (12km) as temporary workzone protection. Cédric Otzenberger from DELTABLOC® France explains that the 2in1 method was a major advantage for this project, as the DB 80 is now used on the verge and will then be moved to the central reserve.
