DELTABLOC® at Formula 1 Grand Prix

Our DELTABLOC® Race Track Safety Barriers had its TV premiere at the Gran Premio de España in September. The 5.4 km Madring circuit features DELTABLOC® SSB 100 single sided barriers, with Geobrugg fencing, alongside Pit Wall elements and Gate systems, delivering world-class safety solutions for this exciting new venue.

A particularly special highlight for us was the installation of carbon-balanced DELTABLOC® SSB 100 barriers in front of the Paddock Club. This marks the first installation of carbon-balanced safety barriers on a race track representing an important milestone for more sustainable solutions in motorsport. The DELTABLOC® carbon-balanced concrete barriers use less cement and a specialised eco-friendly concrete mix incorporating industrial by-products from energy generating processes. This enables the barriers to achieve a carbon-balanced product stage in accordance with EN 15804+A2:2019 and ISO 14025 international standards.
