South Africa - N2 & N3, Durban

The National Routes N2 and N3, South Africa's busiest highways, are undergoing significant upgrades by the South Africa National Roads Agency (SANRAL). This massive five to eight-year project aims to expand both highways to 4 or 5 lanes in each direction. The upgrade of the N2 will focus on a 55km length and the N3 upgrade will focus on an 80km section from Durban to Pietermaritzburg.

DELTABLOC South Africa supplied over 80km of DELTABLOC® DB 80 F-Shape concrete barriers for temporary workzone protection and contraflow traffic areas. The production of over 16,000 concrete barriers started in September 2021, marking a substantial contribution to enhancing road safety along the N2 and N3.
